A Kenmare-based councillor is calling for a resolution to an ongoing row over casual trading in the town to be in place for next Spring.

Stalls are now operating in the town for the majority of the week.

Fine Gael Cllr Patrick Connor-Scarteen says he has photos of one stall which took up 20 car parking spaces and is calling for a resolution.

However, the councillor is not ruling out a court challenge to any proposal put forward by Kerry County Council:
