The Kerry Diocesan Youth Service has been nominated to represent the county in the IPB Pride of Place competition.
The Pride of Place is an all-island competition that acknowledges the work of communities north and south. Today judges are visiting the KDYS in Killarney when the adjudication process will commence with a 20-minute presentation on the work of the group across the county. The KDYS has been supporting young people in Kerry since 1971. Currently, it works with 6,000 young people through its five community-based youth centres. Daire O’Brien says it’s a huge honour to have been nominated by Kerry County Council to represent the county in this year’s competition:
