Transport Infrastructure Ireland says it is looking forward to putting an important west Kerry road scheme back on track.
The comments follow a ruling by the Commercial Court dismissing a challenge taken by An Taisce against planning approval by An Bord Pleanala.
In November last year the planning appeals board approved the 69 million euro project to straighten and widen 28 kilometres of road from Camp to Dingle. The scheme also includes dedicated cycle tracks.
In welcoming the ruling Kerry County Council says it will now progress with the detailed design and tender process of an initial 3.5 km section of the route, for which a funding allocation of three million euro was granted prior to the court challenge.
