A Kerry County Councillor is calling for cameras in a park in Tralee to tackle the problem of illegal dumping.
Norma Foley told the monthly meeting of Tralee Municipal District that there is an ongoing issue with the dumping of domestic rubbish in Pearse Park.
The Fianna Fail Councillor says another type of bin could be used in the park which would not accommodate such dumping.
Kerry County Council will continue to closely monitor the area and try to track down the perpetrators of illegal dumping.
If the problem persists the local authority will remove the two bins.
