Details of Kerry projects in the new capital plan have been revealed.
The announcement has been welcomed by Minister Jimmy Deenihan, Deputies Arthur Spring and Brendan Griffin.
The Macroom Bypass will be a top tier project under the new Government Capital Plan.
Priority will also be given to the Adare Bypass subject to the project getting planning permission.
Additional funding will be allocated for extensive road improvements from Foynes to Shannon and funding for the N86 Tralee to Dingle road, which is currently the subject of a judicial review, has again been rubberstamped.
The Dingle Relief Road scheme will also benefit subject to planning.
Along with road project funding is to be allocated to the Institute of Technology Tralee.
