The Kerry Education and Training board has come under fire after it emerged that the Irish version of their website was compiled using Google Translate.
The website was set up in 2012 and only last week officials realised that the Irish version of the site made little sense.
They have since taken the incorrect articles on the site down, and hope to have all aspects of the site translated properly to Irish in the next few days.
In a statement to Radio Kerry News Kerry ETB says it is currently in the process of addressing the translation of the static text on its website into Irish.
A note explaining this has been placed on the web site.
Sinn Fein Councillor Toireasa Ferris says she understands the financial difficulties the board is under, but it’s a slap in the face to Irish speakers.
