The Irish Blood Transfusion Service are appealing for donors to give blood.
While there is a high demand all year round, there is a particularly acute shortage over the Easter Holidays. There will be clinics in Killarney until Thursday of this week, and in Listowel today and tomorrow.
Ann O’Donovan, donor recruitment manager with the Irish Blood Transusion Service, says the upcoming bank holiday weekend is a real worry.
