A garda investigation is ongoing after into a bogus charity collection in Killarney.
A number of people were going house to house last Wednesday in the town collecting for a specific charity.
Killarney gardaí confiscated money and other items, but no one has yet been arrested.
The investigation is ongoing and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Sergeant Dermot O’Connell of Killarney Garda Station says collectors should have a permit, and people should ask to see it.
