IT Tralee is hosting an international Adventure Tourism Conference, which begins today.
Delegates will be coming from all over the world to share the findings of their research projects on all sorts of topics from adventurous food to avalanches, to the development of mountain biking apps.
Attendees will also be taking part in practical workshops, including surfing, jumping off cliffs into the Atlantic – known as ‘coasteering’ , and wild cooking.
The keynote address at the event is being given by Easkey Britton, international champion surfer and the first woman to surf in Iran.
The conference continues up to and including Friday, with local adventure tourism businesses also attending.
