Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) members at St Mary of the Angels Beaufort have today changed their action from a withdrawal of labour to one where they will work their contracted hours as per the old roster.
The INMO attended talks in the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) with management on, Friday, in an attempt to resolve a dispute relating to rosters at St John of God’s Services, in Beaufort.
According to the INMO, despite the best efforts of the WRC, agreement was not reached.
Members of the INMO had balloted for industrial action in the form of a withdrawal of labour from today following a decision by management to introduce a varied finish time and roster for the nursing staff from today’s date.
However, the INMO have confirmed that from today, they will attend work on their current contracted hours, inclusive of current finish times.
