Speculation is increasing that Star Wars crews could be returning to Kerry.
Scenes for the next Star Wars film were already recorded on Skellig Michael last August.
The Irish Examiner is now reporting that local boatmen are unavailable for regular sailings to the Unesco World Heritage Site on the week beginning September 14th.
The Irish Film Board has not commented on the reports, and the Irish Coast Guard has said it had not received a request for an exclusion zone to be created around the Skellig as it was at the time of filming last August.
Star Wars; Episode V11- The Force Awakens is due for release in December and is expected to draw huge cinema audiences. The decision to allow the Skelligs to be used for filming has received a mixed response in the past from environmental and wildlife bodies and from tourism groups.
