IDA Ireland is filming in Kerry this week as part of a new website being developed for the county.
The issue was discussed at the monthly meeting of Tralee Municipal District.
IDA Ireland has regularly been criticised by public representatives for the lack of potential investor visits to Kerry.
In the first quarter of this year just one investor visit was made to the county.
That was the lowest number in Munster.
Cllr Jim Finucane asked that Tralee Municipal District request a meeting with IDA CEO and Abbeydorney native Martin Shanahan about the new advanced manufacturing facility to be built in the town.
Cllr Finucane said a lot of the issues in Tralee come back to job creation.
Director of Services Michael Scannell said the local authority recently met with IDA Ireland to discuss branding for the county.
He said the IDA will be filming in Kerry today for a new website promoting the county which is hoped will be launched before the end of the year.
The council, he said, are also embarking on their own branding for Kerry , which would compliment this.
