The 2,322 square metre building will be developed on a one-hectare site in Kerry Technology Park.

Eamon Costello (Kerry) Limited has been appointed contractor for the 20-million-euro development, and will be on site this week; it’s expected to be completed in nine months.

The building will include office space over two floors and high-tech manufacturing space in line with the current needs of Foreign Direct Investment client companies.

IDA Regional Manager Ray O’Connor says they’ve built a similar facility in Waterford which has been filled, and another in Athlone which has attracted a lot of interest from international companies; he’s confident they’ll also find a foreign investor for the Tralee facility.
