The group, that represents business in the region, is calling on candidates to support the completion of the M20, Cork to Limerick road and the N69, Foynes to Limerick upgrade scheme.
Ibec Mid-West and Kerry say these projects must be prioritised to support job creation and the development of the region’s economy.
According to Ibec Regional Director Sinead Mullins, half a million people live within 10km of the proposed motorway between Cork and Limerick and if delivered, the project can support economic recovery in the South-West.
She says candidates need to declare their support for the project publically as this will mark a significant advance in developing the Atlantic Corridor.
Ms Mullins added that the N69 Foynes to Limerick road upgrade scheme is of huge strategic importance.
The route is to incorporate the Adare Bypass, which is expected to alleviate identified bottleneck and connectivity issues.
The long awaited upgrade is also expected to enhance accessibility to Kerry for business and tourism sectors.
Ibec is calling on general election candidates to declare their full support for these capital investment projects.
