Hundreds of thousands of people including customers in Kerry have been affected by a major phone line issue at Eircom.
Mobile and landline services for some businesses – as well as ISDN lines – have been down since just after 10 o’clock this morning. Eircom says standard fixed line numbers are unaffected and that the problem is intermittent. Customers experiencing problems cannot call the customer care centres – so are advised to report the fault online. The problem means that people may not be able to contact with those running vital services. If you have a query relating to the urgent care centre only in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee or a GP who needs to contact the facility, you can ring 087 716 9609.
Due to ongoing issues with telephone lines, ESB Networks wishes to advise customers that we have alternative contact numbers; The Emergency/No Supply number is 021 4537000. For General Enquiries, the number is 021 4340600
