There’s been a 75 per cent increase in the number of estates taking part in the Tidy Towns competition in Tralee.
The estates are split into four categories based on size and scored out of 100 for tidiness, litter control, footpaths, open spaces and streetscape.
Castlemorris Terrace took top honours in the compact category, Beenoskee and the Belfry shared the spoils in the small estate section, Quarry Vale brought in an almost perfect score to win the medium estate and in the large estate Manor Village was named the winner.
18 gardens around the town have also been awarded for their displays.
A presentation function will be held in the Fels Point on the 12th of October.
