A record number of 281 thousand people made the journey to the National Ploughing Championships in Co Laois this week.
The Kerry ploughing team brought home two All Ireland titles earlier in the week with Tommy McCarthy from Abbeydorney and Aeneas Horan from Castleisland.
Yesterday Michael P Donegan from Causeway took third place in the Junior Conventional Class.
Tonight at 9pm there will be a home coming including a presentation for the winners in Abbeydorney.
The parade will go from the community hall through the village to McElligott’s Yard.
Next year the National Ploughing Championships will take place in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
