A series of documentaries focusing on film activity in Ireland is set to focus on Kerry.
Film crews visited West Kerry in the past week to interview locals for the upcoming bilingual series ‘Hollywood in Éirinn’.
Ryan’s Daughter and more recently Star Wars were filmed in the region but this new series will document the filming of Far and Away in the early 1990s.
Portions of the film, which starred Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, were also shot in Killarney.
Hollywood in Éirinn is directed by Darina Clancy and presented by Irish actor Seamus Moran – the series is to be screened on TG4 later in the year.
