« BackHighlights of 1916 programme in Kerry revealed

PresidentThe highlights of Kerry County Council’s programme of events to mark the centenary of 1916 have been revealed.

On April 17th there will be a commemoration at Valentia Cable Station.

April 21st will see President Michael D Higgins visit the county to lay a wreath at the Casement Memorial at Banna Beach.

On the same day there will be a commemoration at Ballykissane Pier and the opening of a special exhibition on Casement at Kerry County Museum.

The O’Rahilly Commemorative Weekend in Ballylongford takes place on April 30th.

The highlights are part of a year long programme of events around the county.
