« BackHelp sought from Kerry people to aid growing migrant crisis

Kerry people are being asked to donate clothes, blankets and other badly-needed items to help migrants who’re stranded in camps in various parts of Europe.

A couple from Rathmore are heading to a refugee camp in Greece in three week’s time, and hope to bring a van full of essential items, badly needed by the asylum seekers. Among the items required are clothes, shoes, sleeping bags, toiletries, tinned food and tents. A number of venues around Kerry have been set up as collection points for donations, including the Tralee International Resource Centre at Boherbee and the Kerry Islamic Outreach Centre.
