Two weather warnings are in place across the county.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for the area and says up to 50 millimetres of rain is expected.

A Status Yellow Weather warnings is also in place for the county.

Both warnings are in place until 6 pm today.

There’s a risk of flooding in coastal areas with gusts of up 90 kilometres per hour with rough seas and heavy thundery rain also forecast.

Kerry County Council are advising motorists to take care on Kerry roads as there is a risk of spot flooding and there are reports of fallen branches.

All flights at Kerry Airport are operating as scheduled.

Meanwhile there are over one thousand customers without power in Kerry.

855 customers were without power earlier in Glenbeigh, that number is now down to 228.

In the Cahersiveen area there are 817 customers without power.

It is estimated that power in that region will return by 2pm today.
