Kerry County Council has granted planning permission for an advanced manufacturing facility in Tralee.
The 20 million euro development is being constructed by IDA Ireland.
The Tralee building is part of a rollout of similar buildings by the IDA in rural regions costing over 200 million euro. The plan was announced in February of last year.
Kerry County Council have now given the green light for the 2,543 square metre building including office facilities, carparking, signage and all associated site works including two vehicular entrances to serve entire facility at Kerry Technology Park, Dromthacker.
As part of the planning permission IDA Ireland will have to pay a contribution of almost 5,500 euro in respect of community infrastruture, environmental amenities and facilites benefiting the community.
There is a second contribution of over 37,000 euro as part of the cost of providing the Tralee Ring Roads Project.
There is now a four week period for appeals to be lodged.
