Greece has defaulted on another IMF repayment.
The International Monetary Fund says that Greece failed to pay 456 million euro which was due yesterday. It brings the amount outstanding to 2 billion. Euro zone Finance Ministers will today discuss how they can give Greece a “bridging loan” while the country’s government tries to secure a third bailout. The Greek parliament must pass a range of austerity measures this week, before its EU partners are prepared to finalise an 86 billion euro deal.
