Fine Gael has announced the addition of a third candidate to the party ticket in Kerry for the next general election.
Former Mayor of Tralee and town councillor, Grace O’Donnell, will join deputies Brendan Griffin and Jimmy Deenihan on the ticket in the new five-seat constituency. Gender quota legislation requires at least 30 percent of political party candidates to be women or they will face financial penalties. Kerry is one of a number of constituencies where Fine Gael is adding a female candidate. Grace O’Donnell says she has a strong track record locally and she believes she is a very credible candidate.
