Another day of talks between Fine Gael and Independents is to take place later as efforts continue to form a minority Government.

Despite progress with various Independents, there’s growing doubt that a deal can be struck to see the re-election of Enda Kenny as Taoiseach this week.

Last night the Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael parliamentary parties backed the confidence and supply arrangement that was agreed at the end of last week.
