« BackGardaí warn of bogus charity collectors pretending to be Spanish students

Gardaí are warning the public about two women who have been calling to houses, pretending to be Spanish students collecting for charity.

Tralee Garda Station

On Thursday, August 11th, the two women called to a house in Gallowsfield in Tralee, claiming to be collecting donations for religious charities.

One woman entered the house but left empty-handed.

Garda Eilish Cronin says it seems the two women are targeting the homes of older people, in particular properties with heavy foliage or wheelchair ramps.

She has this description of the  women.
