The burglaries included break-ins to homes and business premises, while a number of cars were damaged, and one stolen, in separate incidents in Tralee and Ballyheigue. On the night of October 5th, a garage at Killeen, Tralee was entered and a sports bag and a quantity of alcohol was stolen. Four nights later, an attempt was made to enter An Shebeen Bar at Rock Street, Tralee, resulting in the door being damaged. On Saturday night, a handbag was stolen from a premise in Cahersiveen, where it’s believed the thieves entered via a window. On the same night, at Charles Street, Listowel, a house was entered and a number of items were taken, including cash to the value of 720 Euro, and two mobile phones. Meanwhile, Gardai are seeking information about four crimes involving cars. In the early hours of Sunday morning, a Mitsubishi car was extensively damaged after it was set on fire in Ballyheigue. In a separate incident, a Fiat Doblo was badly damaged and scratched, while parked outside the John Mitchels GAA club in Tralee. A red Mazda was also damaged on the same night while parked at Strand Road, Tralee. Gardai are also seeking information about a white Toyota Corolla stolen from Cois Abhainn, Tralee on September 21 last, which they believe may now be driven with stolen number plates. Anyone who can assist Gardai with any of these crimes, is asked to contact their local Garda station.
