Gardai in Tralee have confirmed that they have made enquires in relation to a potential second incident at the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee.
It follows an alleged sexual assault at the hospital earlier this month.
The radiographer who was accused of the assault was interviewed by Gardai but has since resigned and left the country.
Weekend newspaper alleged a second woman had disclosed to her family that she was also assaulted during a visit to the hospital.
Gardai in Tralee have confirmed that enquires were made in relation to a potential second incident, however they say that no official complaint has been made or received at this time.
The radiographer involved was an employee of Alliance Healthecare which provides MRI and CT facilities at the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee.
The company is co-operating fully with the Garda investigation and is carrying out its own full internal investigation.
