Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance after a ‘vicious’ and ‘unprovoked’ assault in Tralee last Friday night.
At approximately 9pm last Friday October 8th, a man returning to his workplace was set upon by a group of males in The Square.
He was punched a number of times in the attack.
The injuries sustained by the man are said not to be life-threatening, but Gardaí have described the assault as particularly vicious.
According to Gardaí, The Square was busy at the time – they are appealing to anyone, who may have seen the assault, to contact them.
Speaking on the Talkabout programme, Garda Marcus Twomey said it would be very helpful if business owners in the Square checked their CCTV.
Anyone with any information can contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
