The Kerry Garda Representative Association spokesperson says morale in the force is low on the ground.
Central Executive Representative, Seamus Moriarty, was speaking after yesterday’s protest outside the gates of Leinster House.
He says the GRA wants the issues of pay and conditions addressed, both of which were due to be reviewed under the Haddington Road Agreement.
As a result of their refusal to sign up to the Lansdowne Road Agreement, the Gardaí will be subject to a pay freeze from today.
Mr Moriarty claims there are now four distinct groups within the Garda force–and all need help.
