A woman and a Garda injured in a crash involving a Garda van on the main Tralee to Killarney road have been released from hospital.
The incident involving three cars at Scart Cross occurred around quarter to 8 last night.
The woman’s Toyota Yaris and the official Garda van were in collision and both drivers were taken to Kerry General Hospital.
The driver of the third car was not injured.
Two investigators from the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission were sent to the scene last evening; this is normal procedure when a Garda vehicle is involved in an incident where there are injuries.
Superintendent Flor Murphy from Killarney Garda Station says they are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to contact them:
