A Kerry boatman’s legal challenge to a decision by the Department of Transport has been further adjourned until December 1st.
Skellig boatman Seanie Murphy is challenging the decision to shorten the time during which he and other boat operators are allowed to bring people to Skellig Michael.
The Department of Transport had placed a condition on the boatmen’s licences stating they couldn’t land on the island outside of the dates May 15th and September 30th.
Last June, the High Court granted permission to Mr Murphy to bring a challenge to this time restriction.
In the High Court, the matter was further adjourned to allow the Chief State Solicitor’s office more time to file opposition papers to the proceedings being taken by Mr. Murphy.
