Over €80,000 in funding has been announced for two historic properties and national monuments in Kerry.
€45,000 is to be provided for a dwelling on the Blasket Islands for shelter for staff of the Office of Public Works. Meanwhile, an allocation of €40,000 is being made for conservation works to the summer house at Derrynane House near Caherdaniel. The announcement was made by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Office of Public Works. It’s part of a €350,000 fund for the conservation and preservation of a number of historic properties and national monuments across the country.
