Funding for projects and events commemorating the centenary of the 1916 Rising in Kerry has been allocated.
Over 70 applications were made to Kerry County Council by the closing date of July 14th.
Funding of €25,000 was made available by the local authority and the Department of the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
The funding allocations to projects all over the county were approved by a panel including two historians and an Arts and Cultural Project Manager.
Kerry County Council is currently contacting successful applicants.
