Valentia Coast Guard airlifted a man off Torc mountain this afternoon.
The coast guard was alerted at 1.50 via a 999 call.
The man, who was a member of a party of six who were climbing the mountain was airlifted to Kerry General Hospital complaining of cardiac pain.
He arrived at Kerry General shortly after 3pm and was subsequently transferred to Cork University Hospital where he is being treated.
Kerry Mountain Rescue was on standby but have since been stood down.
