Four Kerry teams are competing at the CoderDojo Coolest Projects Awards at the RDS today.
Projects from the teams, which come from local CoderDojos in Tralee and Killorglin, include a website with resources for students and teachers, an online educational quiz for history and geography, and a set of obstacle-avoidance sensor glasses for the blind.
The Kerry youngsters will compete with more than 800 young innovators from around the country and Europe in the fifth annual awards.
The event is expected to attract over 10,000 people to the RDS and is the largest technology event taking place this year.
