Serious flooding in parts of South Kerry is unacceptable to residents and property owners.
That is according to Councillor Michael Cahill, who put forward a motion at the South & West Kerry Municipal District meeting.
He asked for both Kerry County Council and the Office of Public Works to address flooding in Garranearagh, Valentia Road, Cahersiveen.
Councillor Cahill says the flooding in the area needs to be addressed immediately, adding it is unfair on those who live and work in the area to endure this.
In response, Kerry County Council agreed to undertake a preliminary report to ascertain the cause, flow rates and options to mitigate flooding in Garranearagh.
