There’s been a five per cent rise in the cost of rent in Kerry in the past year.
According to figures from the Residential Tenancies Board, the average monthly rent in Co Kerry in the first quarter of this year was €572.
Between January and March, rents in Kerry were on average €572.32; that’s up €29.50 on the same period last year, a 5.4% increase.
Rents were also up nearly €7 from the last quarter of 2015.
The average rent in Killarney is now €658.80, Tralee stands at €577.26, Kenmare at €546.08, and in Killorglin it’s €534.30.
In Dingle, the average rent is €517.94, it’s €504.86 in Castleisland, and it’s €476.79 in Listowel.
