« BackFish Trail Angling project launched in Kerry this week

South Kerry Development logoA Fish Trail angling project has been launched in Kerry this week.

The EU funded project aims at promoting and developing angling tourism in the county.

With South Kerry Development Partnership Ltd securing the project, it will be supported by Kerry County Council, Inland Fisheries Ireland and Kerry ETB’s Film and TV Production course.

Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly who launched the project, congratulated SKDP on securing funding of just over €40,000.

SKDP Project Manager Seán de Buitlear said the key aim of the project is to encourage anglers from the partner areas and beyond to visit Kerry for a fishing holiday.
