The National Parks and Wildlife Service is asking people to stay away from the western area of Killarney National Park, near Tomies Wood, where firefighters are battling a blaze.
This is for the public’s safety and also to ensure that the work of the emergency services isn’t impeded.
The fire has been blazing since 7.30 this morning.
Three units of the fire brigade are at the scene.
