The protestor who rushed the stage last night at the Rose of Tralee is said to be of Kerry descent.
Fathers4Justice has claimed responsibility after last night’s stage rush by a protestor at the first televised selection night in the Dome.
A man, apparently dressed as a priest, ran on stage with while the Cavan Rose Lisa Reilly was being interviewed by Dáithí Ó Sé.
In a statement issued to Radio Kerry this morning, the group claim the man who rushed the stage is 49 year old Matt O’Connor – a second generation Irishman with Kerry descent.
Mr O’Connor is believed to the founder of Fathers4Justice and is said to live in Clapham London.
During the protest, he held a photograph of his son Archie aloft before being removed from the stage.
Fathers4Justice says its represents the rights of fathers affected by family breakdown.
The group has staged a number of high protests – including scaling Buckingham Palace.
