Farmers in Kerry are set to receive over 11-and-a-half million euro in payments.
It is part of funding through two schemes operated by the Department of Agriculture.
Fine Gael Kerry TD Brendan Griffin has welcomed the announcement.
The Areas of Natural Constraints Scheme and Areas of Specific Constraints (Islands) Scheme are central parts of the Rural Development Programme, 2014-2020.
They aim to compensate farmers for the significant hardships they face in farming specifically designated lands.
Nationally, 65,000 farmers are to be issued with payments totalling 140 million euro.
In Kerry farmers will get 11.5 million euro in payments.
The Department of Agriculture says it will continue to clear remaining cases which are yet to be approved for payment over the coming weeks as a matter of priority.
