A South Kerry woman who lost her husband to cancer says she is overwhelmed by the generosity of people at home and abroad.
Mary O’Donoghue’s husband Francie passed away a year ago and following his death the Caherciveen woman, her daughters, family and friends decided to fundraise to thank those who cared for him.
A fundraising night at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium and an online campaign helped raise 35,000 euro.
That money has been split Oncology Unit, University Hospital Kerry, St Anne’s Hospice Unit at Caherciveen Hospital, Kerry Hospice and Recovery Haven.
