« BackFalling milk prices to cost Kerry economy 79 million euro

Falling milk prices mean there will be almost 79 million euro less in Kerry’s rural economy.

That’s according to the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers’ Association which says milk prices have been slashed from 39 cent a litre to 27 or 28 cent.
The farming body says the EU must immediately intervene and send a clear signal to the market that it will not accept a situation where farmers have to produce milk below the cost of production.
