The government is inviting expressions of interest from individuals or companies willing to accommodate and provide services to refugees who are coming to Ireland.
The Irish Refugee Protection Programme is in the process of establishing Emergency Reception and Orientation Centres around the country. Kerry County Council recently revealed that 11 refugee families are due in Kerry before Christmas with a further 14 to 17 families expected in the New Year. The Refugee Protection Programme will assess expressions of interest from those who have accommodation facilities. The Irish Red Cross has also been asked by the government to coordinate pledges of support.
