« BackExhibition captures snapshots of 1916 events in Kerry

An exhibition made up of snapshots of events during the 1916 Rising in Kerry has been officially launched.

Kerry 1916 from the Archives is being hosted at Tralee Library and was launched by Leas Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council Cllr Jim Finucane.

The exhibition comprises extracts from the Kerry Library newspaper collection as well as material from various 1916 related archives that the library holds.

Information panels will detail major events in the county including the Casement landing, the Firies shootings and the incident at Ballykissane Pier.

The exhibition will run until April 30th.
