Around 300 charities in Kerry are being encouraged to attend an information event tonight outlining changes to the sector.
The newly formed Charities Regulatory Authority recently launched a simplified registration process for the country’s 8,500 charities.
All charities, no matter what size, have to register or they run the risk of losing their charity number and tax exemption status with Revenue.
This evening’s event being run by the authority and the Kerry Volunteer Centre takes place from 7 to 9 o’clock at the Church of the Resurrection Parish Centre, Park Road, Killarney.
