« BackEnterprising students honoured at business awards

The Kerry County Council Student Enterprise Awards are taking place today at IT Tralee.

Over 50 mini-companies – set up by secondary school students around Kerry – are participating in the competition which promotes innovation, marketing, sales, idea development and business plan formulation.

The students established mini-companies which traded over a period of a number of months.

Tomás Hayes of Kerry’s Local Enterprise Office described the programme as “a real life exercise”.
