Eight Kerry projects are to receive funding under the Heritage Council Grants Scheme.
Funding of almost €40,000 has been provided through the Heritage Council and the Department of Regional Development, Rural Affairs, Arts and the Gaeltacht for plans in the county.
Among the funded projects are the repair and maintenance of the Franciscan Church and Friary building, a management plan for buildings located within the disused Denny factory Tralee and the Kenmare Public Realm Plan.
A total of 171 heritage projects nationwide have been awarded funding under the scheme, which supports the conservation and development of Irish heritage through local community-based groups.
