Hardware Association Ireland
The scheme, which began in October 2013 has seen over €7 million spent on home renovations in the county.

The incentive provides for tax relief by way of an Income Tax credit at 13.5% of money spent on repair, renovation or improvement works carried out on a main home or rental property.

The scheme is due to end on December 31st this year and Hardware Association Ireland is calling on the Government to extend it to allow greater penetration into rural areas.

Annemarie Harte is Chief Executive of Hardware Association Ireland.
